It is a cumulative project that continuously incorporates new prosopographical data as
preserved medieval documents are analyzed.
This feature gives users the opportunity to explore the documented human landscape of
this region—the Cantabrian Coast—and this period—the Late Middle Ages.
MAIN
DATA BASE
You can freely browse all sections of the website and all databases containing results:
the main database, which gathers all identified individuals as research progresses, and
the secondary databases, which include complementary materials such as genealogies
and the prototype of the social network visualizer.
The main database offers a versatile search system.
Searches can be simple or combined. Users with philological interests can perform
simple searches by words or names, or explore the factoids associated with the
linguistic abilities of identified individuals.
Historians can identify which individuals are linked to a specific source, explore
information about a lineage, or find people tagged with a particular factoid.
They can also perform combined searches using the main criteria by which the database
is organized: contexts, places, persons, factoids, lineages, sources, and chronology.
